Premium G Water to Air Geothermal Heat Pump Low Pressure Fault

**Low Pressure Fault description: ** The normally closed switch is opened for 30 continuous seconds

Low Pressure fault can mean different things depending on if your heating or cooling

Low Pressure fault (Heating)

  1. Water flow may be restricted or inadequate
  2. Entering water temperature may be too low (Undersized Loop or too much antifreeze)
  3. Return air temperature may be blow 50 degrees F (10C)
  4. The system may be undercharged
  5. TX Valve restriction, Seized or Blocked
  6. Bad capacitor

Low Pressure fault (cooling)

  1. Airflow inadequate (If RPM is off then fan motor could be in operatable)
  2. Dirty Air Filter or air coil (Remove filter and inspect both the filter and air coil for debris)
  3. Return Air temperature may be below 60 degrees F (15c)
  4. The system may be undercharged (Check for refrigerant leaks near air coil, schrader valves, heat exchangers, TX Valve)
  5. TX Valve restriction, Seized or Blocked
  6. Bad Capacitor
