Premium G High Pressure Fault: The normally closed safety switch is opened momentarily

This fault could indicate different things depending on if you are heating or cooling when the fault occurs

High Pressure Fault cause (Heating Mode)

  1. If RPM is set to off, the fan motor could be inoperative.
  2. Dirty filter or Air coil. Take out the filter, check air coil.
  3. Restricted Supply or Return Duct. Duct work could be unbalanced or customer may have added new furniture in the house that is blocking Duct.
  4. Unit may be overcharged if recently worked on.
  5. Blocked or seized TX valve

High Pressure Fault cause (Cooling Mode)

  1. Waterflow may be restricted or inadequate (Check Water Valve in open loop, or Pumps on Flow center in Closed loop)
  2. Water to refrigerant heat exchanger may be fouled with debris. (Water used in installation is hard water either in open loop or closed loop)
  3. Entering water temperature may be too high (Potentially problem with undersized loop)
  4. Entering Air temperature may be too high
  5. The system may be overcharged if recently worked on
  6. TX Valve may have restriction, Blocked or Seized
  7. Inoperative pump(s) in the flow center
