There have been cases of EW boards functioning incorrectly in the field because they are in the “Pool Heater” instead of the “EW” program mode. Here are the instructions for changing the program mode: Instructions for Manual Programming of EW or Pool Heater Board

1. Make sure board is in factory mode “FF.” a. If the display is reading “FF” go to step 3. b. If the display is not reading “FF” hold the “UP”, “DOWN,” and “MODE” until the keys until the display does read “FF” and move to step three.

2. Press the “UP” button until the screen displays “1.”

3. Press the “MODE” button.
   a. The display should read “99.”

4. Press the “MODE” button again. a. Display should read “H2” or “PH.” i. H2 selects the EW program ii. PH selects the PH program

5. Press the “UP” or “DOWN” arrow until the desired setting is displayed.

                    **Wait until the display clears (about 15-20 seconds) before removing power. **
